Hi, I am Marieka
Transitioning from design to food and restaurant photography has been an incredible journey for me. As a designer, I was always captivated by form, color, and texture, but I found myself increasingly drawn to the artistry of photography. What began as a personal passion for craft, flavors and unique food places evolved into a career behind the camera.
When I started photographing food, I realized that my background in design gave me a unique perspective. I approach each shoot with the same attention to detail I once applied to design projects—thinking about composition, light, and the mood I want to convey. My goal isn’t just to capture a dish; it's to tell the story of the restaurant, the chef’s creativity, and the experience they want their guests to have.
